T:me Bar

If you’re looking for a silent night with, state, two drinks max, T:me Bar is the place to be. Located in an unassuming alleyway in SoHo, the bar’s vibe is low-key and welcoming, and crowds watch over to spill out to the road. You’ll be content to know that wines are $50 per glass and mixed drinks begin at around HK$72 — nothing that breaks the bank. Happy hour is until pm daily, and on Thursdays, there’s free vodka for guys from pm until it runs out. Receive there early!

The crowd: Local and expat guys in their 20s and 30s — mostly worker bees from nearby Central coming down here for cheerful hour.

Volume moved a several years ago to a new location. The Hollywood Rd location is a restaurant (volume heat) whereas the bar (volume beat) has relocated to G/F, 62 Jervois St in Sheung Wan. They still do vodka Wednesdays - hours have been switching lately but it's currently free vodka drinks from 9 - (I assume vodka-red bulls are extra).

Linq, on Pottinger Street between Hollywood and Wellington, also does vodka Wednesdays but until 11pm; once the free vodka stops flowing at Volume, the crowd usually moves to Linq.

On the same block as Volume is Zoo, which caters to a more local clientele.

The main dance club is Propaganda - they charge cover which varies.

Psychic Jack's (PJ's), which was located at the corner of Wyndham and D'Aguilar, closed at the end of June.
