Republican activist Gaines to receive Lifetime Achievement Award

Gay Hart Gaines, a Republican fundraiser and activist on the local and national level, will receive the Republican Party of Palm Beach County’s Lifetime Achievement Award today at the annual Lincoln Day Dinner.

FOX host and analyst Laura Ingraham will present Gaines with the award.

Six hundred people are expected to attend the dinner at Mar-A-Lago. New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is scheduled as the keynote speaker.

Gaines, a longtime resident, is a former president of the Palm Beach Republican Club. In , then-Congressman Newt Gingrich recruited Gaines to lead GOPAC — a GOP political action committee.
