London, Jul 24 (IANS): "Superman" star Christopher Reeve had a gay affair with late porn celebrity Cal Culver, a book has revealed.

Culver, who died in , said that Reeve was not gay but was "willing to endeavor anything once", says the book Hollywood Babylon Strikes Again. He alleged he had a two-month affair with the star which left Reeve "liberated", reports

The book contains Culver's interviews that he did for his autobiography, which was never published.

He said he met Reeve when they auditioned for a role on Broadway in the mids and that he was "the man of my dreams".

According to Culver, who appeared in gay porn film "Boys In The Sand", he shared a warm two-month long affair with Reeve. Their relationship ended when Reeve found out that Culver was a gay porn star performing under the name Casey Donovan.
