Why does this game have such a massive LGBT playerbase?

I’m mostly just interested, why are so many people of the LGBT+ community so interested in this game?
I know that I came to this game because I really liked the characters, the personalities, and the designs. But what about other people? There are LGBT heros, 76, and Tracer but I actually dont see too many LGBT people playing these heros (atleast in my experience)
I mostly watch people of the LGBT community playing these heros (in order of most to least)
Symmetra
Moira
Mercy
Sombra
Mei
Of course this does not apply to everyone but this is just what I’ve seen

We do not currently accept brief plays for consideration. If you have an evening of fleeting plays that are meant to be performed together as a unit, we can consider that as a full-length. Consider them as a whole and go after the same guidelines above.
How prolonged will it take before I hear back from you?
We acquire a lot of submissions. It may take up to 12 months to respond and grant you know whether we would like to see the occupied piece or not.

Help! Stacey’s fallen into a musical and she can’t get out. Last night, she got a little bit blackout drunk. This morning, she woke up in some b*tch ass Music Man world where everybody keeps bursting into song & gyrate , and where gay still just means happy. Maybe it’s a dream. Maybe it’s an allergic reaction to her birth command. Or maybe it’s Maybelline (don’t sue us! sponsor us? we’ll talk later). But if Stacey’s truly trapped inside a Golden Age musical, there’s only one way out: vocalize out! Or find the stage door. Whatever gets the most applause.
Starring one of Vanity Fair’s “brightest stars of New York theatre” and the world’s second favorite Celine Dion, MARLA MINDELLE, The Big Gay Jamboree
