Why do men like big asses

Science Has Finally Figured Out Why Men Like Massive Butts

Butts are definitely having a moment, and now science might actually acquire an answer to why we're all about that bass.

Researchers at Bilkent University in Turkey showed men silhouettes of women's bodies and asked to rank them in order of preference. They found that the men were most attracted to women whose spines curved exactly 45 degrees above the superior of their butts, but that the men were actually more attracted to the spinal curve — known as vertebral wedging — than the butts themselves. Why? The researchers say that having "extra mass around the buttocks" enhanced the appearance of the curvature.

Dr. David Lewis, one of the researchers on the study, told Daily Mail that vertebral wedging developed out of necessity. "[It] would hold enabled ancestral women to shift their center of mass back over their hips during pregnancy, a time during which there is a dramatic forward shift of their center of mass," he said. "This benefit is critical: Without being able to do this, women would experi

Do Men Really Prefer Vast Butts? Science Has the Answer

&#; -- It was over 20 years ago (22, to be precise) when Sir Mix-A-Lot released "Baby Got Back," a love letter to bootlicious women everywhere. But men’s obsession with shapely butts has remained strong ever since—and Kim Kardashian has the Instagram hits to prove it. In reality, you might say that rears have replaced breasts as our most scrutinized body part.

But here’s some interesting news: Research from the University of Texas at Austin found that what men are really drawn to isn’t so much the size of the derriere, but the curve—or, more specifically, a spinal curvature that applications the illusion of a shapely butt.

In the learn, approximately men, between the ages of 17 to 34, were asked to rate the attractiveness of images of a woman’s silhouette as she stood sideways. Each image had been altered so the lower spine curved out at different angles—causing the woman’s butt to protrude in varying extremes. What researchers found: Overwhelmingly, men preferred the ube

Believe it or not, scientists have start that men around the world are particularly attracted to women with a back that curves exactly 45 degrees above the foremost of her buttocks. The researcher also found the structure of the spine itself, rather than just the backsides’ fat and muscle, is the attraction. So men who think they prefer big bottoms may actually be more into spines than booties. Before you run into the bathroom with a protractor, let me explain why this is true and offer other fascinating truths about sexuality.

Researchers hypothesize that male’s preference for this anatomy evolved because it enabled women to sustain multiple pregnancies without injury and to be able to forage throughout the pregnancy. What is fascinating to me is that this attraction is all below our level of consciousness; it’s been built into our DNA and our brain wiring. There are some other attributes that are subconsciously behind the birds and the bees of mate attraction that I think you’ll locate interesting.

The Science of Why You’re an Ass Man

It's a glorious day to be an ass man: Nicki Minaj exists, yoga pants are a thing, and women everywhere are squatting their way to more shapely backsides.

But of course, your obsession with the female butt is nothing recent. In fact, it's primal, says David Buss, Ph.D., a psychology professor at the University of Texas at Austin.

You're drawn to a woman's heinie for the same reason you're attracted to her breasts, hips, and a little waist: because those traits would have been indicators of fertility to your ancient ancestors, Buss says.

Man evolved to explore out women who could procreate, Buss says. If a lady has a full tush, that's a signal to your primitive brain that she's probably carrying enough fat to become pregnant, he says. And if her bum is perky and orbicular, that means she's probably young—which, in caveman days, would form her a good candidate to carry your cavechild.

"It's a taboo," says Eric M. Garrison, a sex expert and author of Mastering Multiple Position Sex. "We're not allowed to go there. And when i
