Is tweek and craig gay

An Analysis on the Sexualities of Tweek and Craig

Quick Introduction Spoiler: This analysis reaches the decision that both of these characters are gay. But not just that they’re gay. That homosexuality is “the point”. If I were to start this study by saying their sexualities don’t actually matter in the grand scheme of things, I’d be a liar (based on my observations made in this analysis). And I’m not just talking about their homosexuality mattering in terms of representation. Their homosexuality matters in terms of mattering to South Park. Don’t receive what I mean? That’s what this analysis is for and that point will be made especially clear in the last section.

Before I can procure to that big chunk of meta, I will also be going over the character sheets.

First of all. I will NOT touch anything pre-Tweek x Craig. This is why I loathe my old analysis, it draws too many points from ancient episodes. To try and produce a statement about modern canon using old information is to assume there is intended continuity that goes years back. And in this case, it also assumes Matt an

Is Tweek a Homosexual? An Analysis on Tweek’s Sexuality

After spending months discussing these topic in either fragments or in private chats, I decided to produce one huge send that makes it clear where I stand on whether or not Tweek is gay and why I perceive that way. If it seems as if I’m putting way to much effort into this one post, that’s because this is a subject that, as I mentioned already, I detect myself returning to repeatedly so I want to receive everything out there in one go.

The short answer: Yes, Tweek is probably gay.

Bebe’s  Boobs Demolish Society

Surprise. It actually wasn’t Tweek x Craig that kicked this topic off. The episode that many people reference when explaining why they firmly have faith Tweek is queer actually aired 14 years ago! Tweek’s sexuality came into question among noticing viewers after the season 6 episode “Bebe’s Boobs Destroy Society” aired. I’ve made a post joking about Tweek’s striking disinterest in Bebe throughout that episode. (Shameless plug to a past post)

Besides the two scenes mentioned in that post, there are two more that st

Seriously, consider for a moment how far the display has come in treating the LGBTQ community since Stan’s gay dog ran away to live with Big Gay Al. While that episode was considered progressive and daring for the s—it even was nominated by GLAAD for special recognition in —the sensibilities of that half-hour would be consider antiquated and even offensive by the PC Principals of today.

Yet despite gently mocking the inanity of Yaoi culture here, Matt and Trey delicately show a more urbane understanding of acceptance and LGBTQ rights. When Cartman said that he had to change in the season 19 premiere, he wasn’t just having his cake and eating it too. The series really has traveled many social mountains when Cartman, of all characters, can state, “Just because I don’t understand something doesn’t signify I can’t support it.”

The liberal tolerance of the Obama Years have reached even this once ostensibly quiet little redneck town, and they too can understand love is love—even if they ignorantly

(Spoilers: It’s another rant about queerbaiting)

If you are unfamiliar with South Park, it’s a satiric cartoon that has just started its 21 Season. The humor is not for everybody – it can be incredibly vulgar and insulting. I, personally, enjoy it very much.

Most of the seasons of South Park were Stand Alone episodes – meaning, although the episodes were loosely tied to each other, you could watch one without context and still get what’s going on. In Season 19 and 20 they’ve tried altering it, and it appears this season we’re assist to Stand Alone episodes once more. (Yay.)

South Park revolves around four (arguably five) main characters, with a wide variety of supporting cast. The main characters are middle-schoolers in their fourth grade, and there are their classmates, parents, school staff and other citizens in the town.

The center of this piece revolves around two of the supporting characters – Tweek and Craig. Tweek is a stressed-out kid who has involuntarily ticks due to drinking huge amounts of coffee; Craig is a very pl
